Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) Captain's Message

Greetings!

As Phi Sigma Omega Chapter’s EAF Captain, I am pleased to support the mission of The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation.

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation or EAF is the philanthropic arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. EAF is a 501(c) 3 entity whose mission is to support lifelong learning by providing scholarships, fellowships, and community grants.

Membership is comprised of individuals who are members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. However, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority are not the only ones who can support this worthwhile endeavor.  EAF succeeds through the generosity of not only Alpha Kappa Alpha members but also individuals, corporate sponsors and community supporters.

There are many ways to give to EAF, including chapter and individual donations, chapter mini fundraisers, corporate matching gifts/workplace giving, corporate grants, wills, estates and trusts. To learn more about giving opportunities or to donate, please visit: https://donate.akaeaf.org/.

Additionally, encouraging students and organizations to apply for EAF scholarships, fellowships and community assistance grants is another step toward helping to continue the mission of supporting lifelong learning. For more information on available scholarships, fellowships and grants, please visit: https://akaeaf.org/home.

Thank you for your consideration and support of EAF!

Phi Sigma Omega Education and Scholarship Committee Chairman's  Message

The goals of Phi Sigma Omega Chapter's scholarship program are to support historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) and to contribute to the educational goals, and objectives of students who desire to succeed at their fullest ability.  As such, La Fondation Rose et Verte de Louisiane in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Phi Sigma Omega Chapter in Gonzales, LA, awards two (2) yearly scholarships to graduating high school female seniors planning to attend an HBCU.  We also award a one-time book scholarship each year.  Eligibility includes residence in one of the following service areas:  Ascension, St. John, St. James, or West Baton Rouge Parishes.
