Dear Graduating Senior:
On behalf of La Fondation Rose et Verte de Louisiane in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and Phi Sigma Omega Chapter in Gonzales, LA, we wish you a semester of happiness as you prepare to graduate from high school. We know that the academic preparation was not easy, but you have persevered and achieved many of your goals. It is now time to look forward to achieving even higher goals.
The goals of Phi Sigma Omega Chapter's scholarship program are to support historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) and to contribute to the educational goals, and objectives of students who desire to succeed at their fullest ability. As such, La Fondation Rose et Verte de Louisiane in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Phi Sigma Omega Chapter in Gonzales, LA, awards three (3) yearly scholarships to graduating high school female seniors planning to attend an HBCU. Eligibility includes residence in one of the following service areas: Ascension, St. John, St. James, or West Baton Rouge Parishes. We are also offering an additional scholarship through the Claudia Knight Schexnayder Memorial Scholarship fund to a graduating high school female senior who plans to attend Southern University and A&M College who resides in St. John or St. James Parishes.
